Mani Ratnam’s body of work is any movie-loving, Chennai-based biographer’s delight. You are trying to do exactly that. In the interviews that cover the first films of his career, he appears to be hesitant and uncertain convwrsation a certain degree while talking of his choices as a director. But at the end of the book, I hadn’t progressed much from the starting point.

The only reason I picked up this book was because I have seen almost all his movies and I am a big fan. When seeing from the perspective of the creator, even the alien becomes relatable.
