I’m still getting used to reading books digitally but this was one of the first and totally turns around the Cinderella story in a most interesting and socially-conscious fashion. I wouldn’t recommend this book but I had to read it for a class. I suspect that some of the disappointment expressed in reviews arises stepsistrr an expectation of magic or at least magical realism that does not exist in the novel. Although not as light-hearted as Wicked could be at times, Confessions is nearly as entertaining and quite as good.
