I don’t own that nice pretty new one, I bought mine in For more casual riders and hikers this may not be an issue, but for riders venturing into more technical terrain and longer rides, this may not be the pack you’re seeking.
This is not a huge problem but could probably be solved by a larger strap. I stopped buying Camelbak because it took an olympic wrestler to remove the fill cap to put water in their bladders.

The bladder sits low and centered in the pack making the rest of the backpack sit securely camrlbak fast and rough terrain. If you’re the kind of person camelba sometimes rides, hikes, and runs for the long haul and don’t need all of the latest and greatest gizmos and features, the CamelBak M.
Otherwise, like the descriptions says, everything you need and nothing you dont. Carries all my spares with ease and enough room for the Mulle accessories and lunch as well! When compared to the prices of the other large capacity packs in our hydration pack test, the M. I felt I cakelbak to empty the other cargo I had in the pack to get the bladder in. Inside this next compartment is space, lots of space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cleetis from Great All Around Pack Really great pack that has been a huge help on all mountain rides and dirt biking. The latest edition is built around the brand new Crux reservoir, which is even easier to load and refill, and delivers more water with every sip.
A large open portion of the pack is a great place for things like extra layers. We found these pockets were ideal for storing bike tools and a spare tube. Immediately below are two stretch mesh panel pockets that split the lower half into two sections. The good news is the M. The shoulder straps are anatomically curved and cut, composed of ventilated foam padding with mesh covering on the top half and the same nylon material as the pack body for the lower half.
Includes a magnetic tube trap that lets you stow your drinking tube in place with one click, so you can drink without taking you eyes off the trail. Ventilated harness offers air flow and cushioning to maxamize comfort and breathability.
While it was not that difficult, it was not as easy as others, like the Osprey Syncro. This only makes installing the bladder harder as it’s fighting all your stuff sitting at the bottom of the pack.

The low weight of the water feels like I’m holding 1L, not the actual 3L. For bike orders we will contact you to book a collection appointment once the bike is in store.
The old one comes out at 90 degres which works well, the new one does not so you have to bend the pipe round more which can kink the pipe.

What it does have: Sewn into the outside of the upper pocket is an elasticized keeper loop that kept our air pump handy and in one place. Twenty-five years of muule doesn’t just sound good on CamelBak’s resume; the experience is also put into play with the Crux system.
The Crux shoe horn style handle increases the ease of filling, earning the M. The latest version also features a magnetic tube trap that snaps easily into place, so you can hydrate without taking your eyes off the trail. After the bladder has been removed, we were able to gain good but not effortless access to the interior.
The Magnetic hose clip on the newer version is a waste of time. Even though it isn’t complicated to clean, it does take more time to scrub out the hydration bladder. What it doesn’t have: The easy drinking CamelBak Crux hydration system. The latest version also features a magnetic tube trap that cajelbak easily into place, so you can hydrate without taking your eyes off the trail. You must enter a valid email.
