Giving honestly straight-forwardly, sincerely the Essence of the Truth of Being Existence. Can that knowledge that does not know the one who knows oneself the Self. Comparable to resembling a dream, indeed, maharahi other accomplishments. Once the ‘I’ emerges, all else emerges.
In the Heart, free from devoid of thoughts, this is called the Heart. The translation contained herein is intended to augment and not to substitute for these existing translations. It is translated in a very literal manner, to the extent that even the order of the Sanskrit words is followed fairly closely in the English wherever possible, even if the English msharshi reads a bit awkwardly.
Naming the individual, the world, and the Supreme Self is inherent in suppositions.
He who, having completely lost the ego, sees the Self, has found God, because the Self does not exist apart from God. The Knowledge of the established Truth Being alone is accomplishment. Except by turning the mind inward and fixing it in the Divine, there is no other way to know Him through the mind. So long as the with-form idea the Self is the with-form idea in the Self is in oneself is. What is the Truth of the scriptures which declare that if one sees the Self one sees God?
True Consciousness is not divided. Nowhere we shine appearat no time we shine appearBut we everywhere and always shine. That alone is Liberation. Can that knowledge which is of one who does not know the Self oneself or: But if you investigate it this evil spirit, which has no form of its own, relinquishes its grip on form and takes to flight.
Can that knowledge that does not know the Self, the one who knows, Of knowing and of knowledge or: Prana and speech to be controlled lit. Upon at the time of inquiry into itself, It runs [away], this ego-ghost. The Truth is the Consciousness-Self. Saddarsanam consists of verses selected from among over eighty verses. A name was given to him: While one is anxiously searching, as well as when one has found one’s Self, who else is one but the tenth man?
All religions postulate the three fundamentals, the world, the soul, and God, but it is only the one Reality that manifests Itself as these three. Suffering or happiness, thus to no purpose vain is the dispute quarrel. The contention, ‘Dualism during practice, non-dualism on Attainment’, is also false. Just as in a well of water into [which one] has dived deeply, just so, within.
Since, through these five sense-organs, a single mind perceives the world, the world is nothing but the mind. If one turns inward in search of that One Reality they fall away. Only those who have no knowledge of the Source of destiny and free-will dispute as to which of them prevails. Perceiving sensing, seizing, grasping, taking into the mind is not knowledge. Words placed in brackets are those inserted to tamana the English translation intelligible and are not actually in the Sanskrit text, though they may be implied. Only if the thought ‘I am the body’ occurs will the meditation ‘I am not this, I am That’, help one to abide as That. From the union absorption is the seeing wisdom of the Lord, not otherwise.
If we are bodies, we are involved in time and space, but are we? The Oneness of oneself the true Selfindeed, is the understanding knowledge [that hy are] no differences. Though the Supplementtoo, contains verses of great profundity, this present book concerns itself only with the Saddarsanam verses, which consist of the two invocatory verses, the forty verses, and the two concluding verses by Ganapati Muni that serve the function of a colophon.
Under whatever name and form one may worship the Absolute Reality, it is only a means for realizing It without name and form.
Veraes from the categories of sleep and perceiving is Consciousness alone indeed ; Knowledge shines forth [and is] not a void. In the state of the body-self, the wise and the ignorant are the same.
They that know the Self as the one Source of destiny and free-will are free from both.

Without that does the world shine? All dualities and triads shine for some thing some reality that is the support for some thing upon which they depend [When] that is traced soughtall are loosed and dropped.
Consciousness alone indeed ; Knowledge shines forth [and is] not a void. In the body being the Self, the wise the knower and the ignorant the unintelligent are alike the same.
With the idea thought, intelligence, mind rises, with the thought mind sets. Thereafter, in them [who] are naturally by their own nature immortal, How again can there be space for the thought of death? Not other than the seer is the Supreme, indeed. The variety of gold ornaments is unreal, since none of them can exist without the gold of which they are all made. To seek and abide in the Reality that is always attained, is the only Attainment. He is the Silence. With a keen mind enquire whence this ‘I’ emerges.
Thereafter, in them [who] are naturally by their own nature immortal.
If the ego is not, nothing else is.
